Slurs about religion, race, sex etc all fall into the same catagory.
All these things can get me banned in GW? Sounds like another game I have to uninstall. I had to do the same with city of villains, it takes too long to level without the rikti farms. I'm in an adults only guild in wow, we curse, talk bout our different beliefs all the time. Yet just mentioning any of these here, will get me banned? Where's my bloody freedom? Sounds like I'm John Spartan and I just woke up in a world that fines me for cursing, walking around robe-wearing people who say "be well", listening to "I'm an oscar weiner" songs.

I mean I wasted 20 dollars of my money, downloading 20,000 or more files for this crap? Its an outrage I say.

You can talk about religion, race and sex in the game, as long as it is not offensive to anyone, you have nothing to worry about. In general its better to just leave those topics alone. As for freedom online? The internet is not bound to a nations standards or laws when it comes to freedom of speech or expression.

You have the freedom to enjoy the content of the game as long as you obey the terms of service which you agreed to before you ever even started playing and A game provider has the freedom to revoke your privilage to play if you break the terms of service.

As for quitting the game, game providers don't care. For every one person person who quits, another person joins. Wow is the same way, as is all games with a ToS. You can get banned in any game just as easily as another. So if you like the game, be conscious of your words and actions. No reason to punish yourself by not playing just because you can't do/say whatever you want.

Real life is exactly like online when offending someone with one key difference. Online you can get banned and in real life you can get hurt. Oh and online you have more control over the situations you are involved in, in real life you don't always have that control.

PS: Game providers like Anet don't care if you're outraged, they already have your money.

You have a perfect right to do say and believe whatever you want as long as the rest of us are not forced to endure it.

So keep it off open channels and we will be happy enough.

If you are not willing to do that then put the game back in the box stick it on a shelf and forget about it.

You can swear in front of your friends and stuff but you usually don't say the same stuff around their parents etc. Its about respect and who you say stuff to.

Fine with me if you don't play. Lord knows we don't need anymore racists or jerks in-game.

You feel that you should uninstall GW due to these rules?

Sad, just sad.

Go back to WOW.

The amusing part is the fact you're upset about wasting $20 on GW because the EULA states that you can't spew verbal diarrhea in public... but you're paying for a WoW subscription every month and their EULA doesn't allow it either.

Go troll somewhere else.

You'll probably get closed like my thread. Even though I had a legit question. This is the thing people get ass hurt that have power and don't want to listen to reason or take the time to read something.
You'll only get banned is someone doesn't like you basically. ANet pays no attention to who they temp ban it seems. It even seems at sometimes they don't care who they perm ban either. This game is just like all the others though. Ignorant people will always say if you have to use that language your this or this. Yet those ignorant ones are the same ones that won't let you say niggardly nor snig - ger which are acceptable words in the dictionary and are no way a racial slur.
Also there are a few "adult" guilds that will kick you out of the guild for cussing (happened to me before even though they can do it). You see the same thing in forums online. Double standards and hypocrites, the worst people in the world.
Oh yea, is someone based someone for being atheist is that basing a religion and a valid complaint? Some people say yes, some no (since it is the non belief of religion). Oh, all non believers are offended now if you call them atheist, that's like using the N word, you must now say "those that do not believe in an imaginary god" non believer is like saying the f word and won't be tolerated.

I don't really see a question here!

The fact that Anet have a policy that restrict excessive verbal behavior is ancient news - discussed at great length more than a dozen times.
